Joshua Penn, MD, FACC
Founder, CEO and Medical Director
As the founder of Diagnostic Partners, Dr. Joshua Penn brings to bear not only a high level of clinical expertise in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging, but also a strong background in digital imaging, network protocols and information and storage technology.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University, completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Following his training, he returned to his native Los Angeles, where he practiced cardiology for 20 years, the last 10 as Director of Cardiology for Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation. During that time, he developed extensive expertise in disease-state management, as well as information technology, EHR, and digital-imaging systems. Dr. Penn has published many articles and abstracts with a focus on congestive heart failure and vascular biology.
Dr. Penn has also lectured extensively on topics such as congestive heart failure, HTN, lipids and cardiovascular risk.
Wendy L. Karrasch
Chief Financial Officer
Wendy L. Karrasch began her career in finance at the prestigious international investment bank Houlihan Lokey, rising from accounts payable supervisor through multiple titles all the way to director of finance.
Immediately before joining Diagnostic Partners, she served as interim chief financial officer at ACF Investment Bank.
She brings with her a strong track record of systems innovation and savvy cost control, as well as an extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance. She is a FINRA registered securities representative.
Karrasch is a magna cum laude graduate of California State University in Los Angeles and holds a B.S. in business administration, with a focus on accounting.
Director, Performance and Implementation
Elizabeth joins Diagnostic Partners with extensive experience in physician-practice administration, with an emphasis on financial performance and workflow improvement. She most recently ran her own consultancy focusing on optimizing private-practice management.
Prior to that, she served as the Director of Patient Relations at Southside Regional Medical Center in Virginia, where she oversaw communications, complaint resolution, volunteer services, and patient experience. She has also served as practice administrator in obstetrics and gynecology for Southside Physicians Network, having previously filled roles there as practice administrator for ENT and audiology and program coordinator for bariatric and general surgery.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia – she holds a bachelor’s degree in English.
Corporate Compliance Officer, Executive Assistant to the CEO
Larray holds a BFA from New York University.
Prior to joining Diagnostic Partners, Larray served as an executive assistant at Flaum Partners, a marketing firm, where he managed schedules for the CEO and assisted in public relations and outreach efforts.
He held a similar position before that at the printing firm Asia Pacific Offset, for the company’s vice president.
