Joshua Penn, MD, FACC
CEO and Founder
As the founder of Diagnostic Partners, Dr. Joshua Penn brings to bear not only a high level of clinical expertise in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging, but also a strong background in digital imaging, network protocols and information and storage technology.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University, completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Following his training, he returned to his native Los Angeles, where he practiced cardiology for 20 years, the last 10 as Director of Cardiology for Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation. During that time, he developed extensive expertise in disease-state management, as well as information technology, EHR, and digital-imaging systems. Dr. Penn has published many articles and abstracts with a focus on congestive heart failure and vascular biology.
Dr. Penn has also lectured extensively on topics such as congestive heart failure, HTN, lipids and cardiovascular risk.
James B. Seward, MD
Dr. James B. Seward received his bachelor of science degree from Hillsdale College and his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his internship at Boston City Hospital and his residencies at Boston City Hospital and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. His fellowship was in cardiovascular diseases at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Echocardiography.
With 30+ years of practice at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Seward was responsible for establishing the Clinic’s world-renowned, high-volume Noninvasive Echocardiography Hemodynamic Laboratory. As professor of Adult and Pediatric Cardiology, Dr. Seward has authored over 1,000 publications, and co-authored the definitive textbook in echocardiography, The Echo Manual.
Dr. Seward is known for his insight into echophysiology. He is the founder of EchoMetrics, a remote expert-knowledge-based echocardiography interpretation and reporting service.
ADAM SPLAVER, MD
Adam Splaver, MD, FACC, FACP, FASE graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in 1998. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine as well as his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach. Dr. Splaver is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Splaver has served as Medical Director of Echocardiography for the Memorial Healthcare System from 2011 until January of 2016. He is presently in private practice and is a founding partner of NanoHealth Associates a multi-specialty practice where he focuses in Cardiovascular Disease prediction, risk factor identification and reduction as well as wellness and health.
Jack N. Newman, MD, FACC
Jack N. Newman, M.D., FACC, is board certified in cardiovascular diseases. He has practiced general cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, and nuclear cardiology since 1995. Areas of interest include heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and clinical cardiology.
Dr. Newman received his B.A. in Psychology from Lehigh University in 1984, and his M.D. from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1989. From 1989-1992 he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The Medical Center of Delaware in Wilmington, Delaware. From 1992-1995 he completed a fellowship in Cardiology at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Newman has been in private practice in Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland since 1995
Bridget Mosier, RDCS, RVT
Bridget Mosier is a Licensed Practical Nurse/Cardiac Technician with extensive experience as a diagnostic cardiovascular sonographer and cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound education specialist.
She did her LPN preparation at Genessee Valley BOCES and her certification in diagnostic sonography from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Her RDCS and RVT credentials were granted by the ARMDS. She has lab accreditation through ICAEL.
At Diagnostic Partners, Mosier is responsible for field staff management and continuing education, as well as securing and maintaining clients’ IAC accreditations. She also oversees equipment maintenance and quality assurance.
She is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
Wendy L. Karrasch
Director of Finance
Wendy L. Karrasch began her career in finance at the prestigious international investment bank Houlihan Lokey, rising from accounts payable supervisor through multiple titles all the way to director of finance.
Immediately before joining Diagnostic Partners, she served as interim chief financial officer at ACF Investment Bank.
She brings with her a strong track record of systems innovation and savvy cost control, as well as an extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance. She is a FINRA registered securities representative.
Karrasch is a magna cum laude graduate of California State University in Los Angeles and holds a B.S. in business administration, with a focus on accounting.
Lisa Patton is an accomplished business manager, with more than 15 years of experience in customer service and administration.
Her work in the healthcare industry includes positions at Commonwealth Primary Care and HealthCare Management Systems, both in Virginia. Patton is a skilled computer user, with proficiency in wide variety of financial programs, and is known for her organizational finesse.
In addition to her background in healthcare, Patton has also worked at Qimonda, Ironworks Consulting, and Victory Nissan, all located in Virginia.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Elizabeth joins Diagnostic Partners with extensive experience in physician-practice management, with an emphasis on improving financial performance. She most recently ran her own consultancy focusing on optimizing private-practice management.
Prior to that, she was director of patient relations at Southside Regional Medical Center in Virginia, where she oversaw communications, complaint resolution, and client service. She has also served as practice manager in obstetrics and gynecology for the Southside Physicians Network, having previously filled roles there as practice manager for ENT and audiology and financial specialist for bariatric and general surgery.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Roanoke College in Virginia, with a bachelors degree in English and creative writing.
Kelly Greksouk brings a wealth of operational management experience to her role as scheduling coordinator for Diagnostic Partners.
Prior to joining Diagnostic Partners, Kelly was promoted through a variety of operations roles at Sunrise Senior Living, as well as holding managerial titles at public-relations firm Goddard Gunster and real-estate company FD Stonewater. In her previous jobs, she handled key responsibilities in budgeting, client relations, compliance, procurement, and project management.
Kelly is a graduate of Radford University with a degree in business administration and is currently pursuing an MBA at Strayer University.
Vice President of Partnership Development
Adam joined Diagnostic Partners’ business development team in 2007, where he has been responsible for growing and maintaining strategic relationships with the nearly 500 physicians in the Diagnostic Partners network.
Adam came to Diagnostic Partners after seven years with Medical Resources, Inc., an MRI leasing and certified-technologist staffing firm, where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Prior to Medical Resources, Adam led market development teams in the mobile-telecom sector for everything from start-ups to overseeing the mid-Atlantic T-Mobile launch and rollout with CNCG Inc.
Corporate Compliance Officer, Executive Assistant to the CEO
Larray holds a BFA from New York University.
Prior to joining Diagnostic Partners, Larray served as an executive assistant at Flaum Partners, a marketing firm, where he managed schedules for the CEO and assisted in public relations and outreach efforts.
He held a similar position before that at the printing firm Asia Pacific Offset, for the company’s vice president.
CIO, IT Director
A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Eric is the founder and CEO of GeekTek IT Services, a Los Angeles-based managed IT services and consulting firm. Named one of the top 250 Managed Services Provider Executives of 2013, Eric is the virtual CIO of Diagnostic Partners. In this capacity, he works closely with Diagnostic Partners’ founder Dr. Penn.
Eric began his technical consulting career in 1996, launching Ornaco Technologies. He subsequently formed Be Computing, Inc., in 1998. He is also the founder of Social Platform.
Eric has been featured as an expert in cloud computing, managed IT services and IT infrastructure in ChannelPro, PC World and InfoWorld magazines, as well as CIO.com and InformationWeek.com.
